During the First Hours

After a surgical procedure, saliva may be lightly blood-stained or there may be slight oozing from the area. If your dentist has advised the use of gauze, follow the recommended duration and method.

During the initial period, you may be advised to avoid vigorous rinsing, repeated spitting or direct contact with the wound area.

Cold Application and Swelling

Diet

Oral Hygiene
